In April 2022, ACEP relaunched its electricity monitor platform to increase the public’s interest in the country’s power sector and its management. The platform offers the opportunity to make complaints when facing electricity challenges like power fluctuations. It also provides informative statistics on Ghana’s power sector.
The platform has since received several complaints relating to accessibility and reliability. The complaints can be categorised into limited access to electricity, billing challenges, limited access to metres and power outages.
The table below show samples of some complaints from consumers which require the attention of the power sector institutions.

The community I represent as Assembly Member has applied for extension and over three years nothing is happening although feasibility study has been carried twice.

|We went to your (ECG) Dodowa branch 2 months ago for meter we’ve paid and done everything, but the contractor there named Yakubu says the meters there the manager has asked them not to touch it because it’s for his personal business.||Danfa, Ga East|
|Power Outage / Dumsor||There has been persistent power fluctuation in Odumase Krobo of late, especially Mampong area. It normally happens in the night between the hours of 7 and 8. Sometimes, power goes off for over 4 hours. Kindly do something to remedy the situation. It is becoming too much. Thanks.||Odumase Krobo, Lower Manya Krobo Municipal|
