1.0 INTRODUCTION
The Africa Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP) is pleased to welcome the passage of the Petroleum (Exploration and Production) Act 2016 by Parliament, following four years of consultations with stakeholders. ACEP has taken positive note of the provisions of the Act, which relate to our concerns as expressed in several press statements, memos and campaign messages.
