ACEP Adjudged Energy Institution of the Year at the 5th Ghana Energy Awards

The Africa Centre for Energy Policy (ACEP) was adjudged the “Energy Institution of the Year” at the prestigious Ghana Energy Awards held on Friday, November 19, 2021, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana. The Executive Director, Mr. Benjamin Boakye received the award on behalf of the Centre.

ACEP has over the last decade been at the forefront of engagements geared towards safeguarding the energy and extractive space in Africa, strongly focusing on institutional development and corporate transparency, contract and resource governance, efficient revenue management, evidence-based research, policy analysis and advocacy, climate change adaptation, and energy transition.

ACEP is grateful for this recognition and is encouraged to do more to ensure the realization of its vision of “an Africa in which energy and extractive resources are utilised for economic transformation and sustainable inclusive development.”

The Board and Management of ACEP are very much appreciative to all its stakeholders and partners for the immense support given it over the years. The partnership and support have greatly contributed to ACEP’s significance in Ghana, Africa, and the world over.

ACEP remains committed to its mission and promise to deepen its partnership with stakeholders towards the effective execution of its mandate.
