Clean Cooking Dialogue for Climate Action and Public Health
Date: Thursday, 22nd May 2025 Time: 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM Venue: ISSER Conference Facility, University of Ghana
Access to clean cooking remains one of Ghana’s most pressing development challenges, with far-reaching implications for public health, gender equality, climate resilience, and sustainable energy. Over 80% of households in Sub-Saharan Africa still rely on polluting fuels, leading to serious health issues and environmental degradation. While progress has been made in Ghana, significant gaps remain in adopting clean and affordable cooking solutions.
This dialogue will bring together policymakers, innovators, researchers, civil society, and private sector actors to advance Ghana’s clean cooking agenda. The event will explore innovative technologies, financing mechanisms, and collaborative approaches to achieve universal access to clean and sustainable cooking energy.
Key Objectives:
Elevate policy dialogue on Ghana’s clean cooking agenda
Showcase scalable innovations and unlock financing pathways to drive clean cooking adoption.
Mobilize collective action through stakeholder engagements to accelerate universal access to clean and sustainable cooking energy.
Join us in a collective effort to drive climate action, protect public health, and promote energy equity in Ghana.
